The woods, eh?

I like them excellent well. I can never see too many trees.

At first indifferent, I have long suffered a creeping sense of unease about them.

The woods, the wilderness, the maw of nature

Post by Hodgson »

I'm pretty fond of going out into the woods. I'm somewhat less fond of getting lost, or of realizing that the 6.2 mile trail that I'm on is actually 12.4 miles. There can be drawbacks (mostly for people who don't read signs carefully).

What do you think of the woods?

I like the woods just fine...Just as long as the squirrels stay far away....Or I have my trusty long bow, then the squirrels can get as close as they want.

i like any wilderness areas that aren't full of mosquitoes, ticks, leeches, ants, spider webs, etc.. those things really ruin the mood for me
A monkey riding a dog is probably the awesomest thing that could ever happen.

Of course I like the woods, nothing better than to be in contact with the Mother Nature.

The woods... it's all fun and games until a bear rips your face off.

Yes, once I saw one in a forest and it was an unforgettable experience. They are big and majestic beasts.

I stumbled across a black bear several years ago during a fishing trip in Canada. It's a humbling experience to find yourself facing such a creature when it's not in a cage.
