Alboin: the Outrider Oasis area

Post by blade-soul »

I'm just gonna say it. Soloing is a pain in the ass this beta. Last beta was REALLY fun to solo (if you are still enchanted with exploring and such just for the hell of it). This beta....erm....its just tough. Everyone is mining the same mats, gear is way cheap and hard to make money off of unless you have 0% tax crafting access, etc. Sure the solo dungeons are boring and all you can really farm is those damn skeletons (btw if you haven't farmed the vet. skellies....get some ranged weapon man and kite the hell out of em...its worth Albion Online Gold). Most of my small guild left so I spent a TON of LP (such a waste) to get me wearing t5, harvesting t4-5.1, crafting my own gear, making a little food, and DIYing it really. After that its not so bad. Start hauling t2ish mats up to the badlands (yes you will get ganked sometimes....so make sure you have 3 or more loads waiting to haul). Explore red zones that are 4 tiles away from town. I personally love the Outrider Oasis area as it has nice waves of busy/slow. Its slow but it sure makes it fun when you actually progressing. Took about a month to get somewhat comfortable I'd say at my casual pace.

Once I hit t5 gear and t4 tools I chatted with a nice decent sized guild(all allianced up) and moved myself to the badlands. Lots of chatty guildy types on the forum. Just saying. There's some fun stuff to do with big groups that aren't all about PvP even.....caravans are sweet. If you need help in game the name is the same hit me up.

Here is an advice, that can be useful for you:

If you are playing on Green and Yellow zones, the best way to ensure yourself some good gear (like 4.3/5.2) is to farm 2-man T5 dungeons on yellow zones. They can be thought, but when you learn how to do it, it will be easy.
Mobs on this Dungeons respawn every 10 minute, so you should be able to earn 60K silver per hour (the last boss give 4.500 Silver).

About taxes, you can send a message to buildings owners, requesting to add you as an "associated", in order to get preference taxes.

Also, think that if 1 solo player were able to get Cheap Albion Online Gold with all full buildings in just 1 month, then for big guilds it will like 1 day... what ofc have no sense.

The game has changed a lot since last beta (not only the size), and devs are still working on it (after all, this is still a beta).
