Ping G15 Hybrid

Post by jasonvs987 »

For Cavelleri, playing in tomorrow's final group could prove a Ping G15 Golf Bag black hurdle too far, but the fast improving Italian is certainly pleased to be in such exulted company.

"This is the first time I've been in such a strong position in such a big tournament," said Cavelleri, who won a qualifying event for last year's Evian Masters over the same track.

"The course suits my game, you have to be very accurate and Ping G15 Hybrid putt well. I like this course. I remember Karrie (Webb) from my amateur days but I've not played with either of them since turning professional.

"But I'm very happy to be playing with them. They are the two best players in the world so I must be doing quite well to be with them." Cavelleri, the 1997 US Amateur Champion, also praised her Ping G10 Hybrid caddie for the week Robin Byrd, an American playing on the men's European Tour.

"I met Robin in Austin last year, we share the same coach Chuck Cook. He's on a break from the European Tour and offered to caddie for me this week. He's been a great help. As a professional Ping G10 Fairway Wood himself he obviously knows all about it."

Cavelleri's 68 was made up of one bogey and five birdies, the pick of which came at the par five 15th when she fired a wedge to 15 feet. The 26-year-old Milanese architecture graduate moved Ping Golf to eight under the card thanks to a five-foot birdie at the par five last.

Sharing fourth spot on six under par are Korea's Se-ri Pak and the American duo Sherri Steinhauer and Michele Redman.
