Who the hell are you people?
I have found that it doesnt take long to begin wondering who the people that post in the forum are, so i will start it off.
My name is David, i got married back in october. i have been working fo rhte same company for over 3 years and am currently a webmaster and programmer.
I maintain my own website (http://scaredyet.net),, and love to write. i have 3 finished short horror stories to my name, but many more in the works (nothing published yet) and occasionally like futzing around with 3d modelling and image editing on my pc. i am a hardcore gaming nerd.
I adore Lovecraft, although i have just recently managed to get my hands on some old Arkham House books to flesh out my mental database of read lovecraft. i am currently poring through the Dunwich Horror for the first time.

“True. Hey, maybe we can actually get all of the data out of this thing without getting eaten.”
I'm nineteen years old, dropped out of college and live in Estonia. I am arrogant to think I know English well enough to write lovecraftian in it. I've got published twice in anthologies along with Nickolaus here. When I grow up I may want to/not become a poor starving writer of pulp fiction. If that doesn't work out I'll become a serial killer that cuts up up women's faces or a pirate in Indonesia. Or a bum, a real hero and an idol of mine - Jeffrey 'Dude' Lebowski.
At this period of time I am trying to convince psychologists around these parts that I am suicidal and not fit for the compulsory military service. I think those are the more interesting facts about me.

Adrian.. One of my co-workers is a huge fan of Lebowski as well
I guess I will add a little info as well...
I'm 25 and have always been into computers in one way or another. I have other hobbies I go back and forth with over the years including drawing, learning to play guitar, electronics, a lot of reading, to name a few. I like to try new things and one of the latest things has been trying to perfect the art of making sushi rolls
I started the Temple of Dagon maybe around two years ago. It was originally for CthulhuMud, as I used to be (40+ hours a week or so) obsessed with it. Over time I kept changing it up, and then finally started expanding to what you see today.
There is some information for now at least. Maybe I need to write a longer bio sometime for the site. That one was way too short and not that interesting
You can always ask me specific questions! heh

You will have to be thanking me for convincing Aleister to feature all the writers you see on here. I managed to talk with April Derleth personally on the phone and she commended everyone on the site -- all of us write horror in the Lovecraftian tradition but some of us actually branched out from writing the Mythos. As Stephen King said -- sometimes they always come back. I am a horror writer born on August 3, 1976, (turning 29 in August) and also write true stories as what you can see on my page here will be an offsite link to a true ghost story I wrote. I am working on a true story as well which will be featured on a deadjournal community. I am not going to say yet which one right now but when it is done I will be doing a post about it. I've published Andrew Ian Dodge and Adrian Sheppard on an anthology called Tabloid Purposes. I went from writing the Mythos to writing just full out muscular horror but sometimes I will go back and write Cthulhu Mythos because I am rooted in that style. I am proud to be called a Stephen King generation horror writer, though a few authors out there who are writing horror and trying to rub the Stephen King style into the dust but being on Reality Check you will see a few authors who keeps the style alive and well -- Terry Vinson and Nicholas Mounts.
I am the founder/owner of a publication on lulu called Lake Fossil Press which I started for releasing Tabloid Purposes and my other print projects. I publish a wide array of traditional horror, Modern Day set Science Fiction (ala The Outer Limits,) and always look for authors in the Cthulhu Mythos. Adrian is one of the most talented authors I came across and you can also find his work now on Darkwalls.com. He can scare with the rest of them as well as authors Hasan Abood and Casey Gordon (these two are influenced by me. Hasan with his mystery, The Devil and the Bellydancer. Casey with three of his stories Leech House which shows an influence from Terry Vinson, Screaming Walls and Isolated are indirectly from me.) I just got published on an LBF Books publication with an essay titled ...In The Hospital... which is also known as Breathe. Two authors you won't see as my influences -- Brian Keene or Poppy Z. Brite.

I'm 15 years old, and have been reading lovecraft since I was 11 (most of my friends don't have the patience for the Great man!) I recently moved from the United States to Britain, and attend a neo-fascist religious boarding school :D . My hobbies include drawing, reading, writing and praticing the bass guitar. I am a fan of Old school blues and heavy metal.

19-year-old college dropout from Huntsville, Alabama. If I have a passion in life, it's horror, all th ings horror; film, literature, music, cultural celebrations like the modern version of Halloween, etc. I read Lovecraft because his brand of horror is the best that currently exists; even the hackwork fanboi writing that makes up the very worst of the Cthulhu Mythos is superior to the stock werewolves and vampires and ghosts that make up more "traditional" horror..
However, I do love a good cannibal story/movie. My all-time favorite movie is the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Ravenous did an excellent job of kicking my ass.
