Cthulhu interview and Satanis RPG

Post by darrick »

hey guys, i've got a controversial, hard core, politically incorrect, and evil RPG,
Empire of Satanis, i'd like your opinion on, maybe you could help me get the word out there...? this game is not for everyone, however! in fact, just reading the rules could drive you mad and turn you into some frothy, hellish, tomb spawn. so perhaps you should ignore this email and not open this link. better for everyone. too damn scary. yep.

i'm also interviewed here for my Cthulhu Mythos convention in the spring and Empire of Satanis

thanks, Darrick Dishaw

I don't know; he seems a little shady to me. :cthulhu1:

Darrick's a good guy, and I say that not only because he's become The Dunwich Herald's marketing powerhouse this month (all the links he's posted have resulted in record traffic), but his Cthulhu One sounds like it's going to be much better than the typical fan con. Joshi and Price under the same roof? That's easily worth the admission price alone.

We'll probably have a review of "Empire of Satanis" on the Herald in the March or April issue. I've asked Tanith E. Howard and Clark Ashton Lumley if they're interested in writing it, but haven't heard from them one way or the other yet.

Just said hi to the same guy over on the horror.com forums. Seems nice enough, and his heart seems to be in the right place. i hope no one over there hurts his feelings though... they tend to be brutal on people who show up just to advertise...

I have a feeling that Darrick can hold his own against them if need be.

Ia Ia Hail Cthulhu! Hail Satanis!

Post by darrick »

yes, frequently i'm left holding my own. especially when the girlfriend is away. badum tsss!

what's up? yeah, after starting on Cthulhu One, i've found that i love promoting and creating. one leads to the other.

i'd love to do another interview and talk more about the Satanis game. it's a culmination of many cool ideas. Nightmare Technology, unique demonic alien races, horrific Gods, lightsabers (yeah, you know it bitch!!!), bizarre masks, enchanted puppets running around, bloodlust, carnage, chaos, black magic, the old ones returning to the universe...i'm the guy who sees a need for coolness, tries to get stuff started, can't find anyone to join in the bedlam, so i just end up pursuing dark stuff on my own. although, my work means very little without an audience. so, i hope people check my stuff out.

adios, D

Um, hey Darrick. I'm afraid I'm unable to send that stuff I wrote about. It's just that with the shit that goes around with my life right now hasn't left me enough bloody free creative space to deal with.

not random at all, but of horrible design, straight from Azathoth's throne, Yog Sothoth's hilltop congregation, and Nyarlathotep's cult of the bloody tongue.

just curious, has anyone ever practiced magic before? ever read the Satanic Bible, books on Chaos Magic, Alistair Crowley, the Cthulhu Mythos, or things of the like?

I have read all of the above, I translated Simon's Nec into estonian from english, proofread the second edition of the Satanic Bible, have an extensive e-library of the occult, satanism, chaos magick theory and the Mythos and satanism in Mythos and c,t in Myhtos and so on. Over a hundred titles. I'm a chaote myself and know the most of satanists in Estonia.

I've read all of that too. I don't know any satanists personally though.

I know a heck of a lot of witches however.

I know a large percentage of the local population of Nacogdoches texas who believe that trees can talk. They have a Pagan Student Council at the college there. These people aren't kidding. This terrifies me more than the old ones coming up my ass from the commode as i shit...this is evil...

Well, actually trees do make noises that are too low to hear. Those sounds might be some form of communication. Although I can't imagine how they could be communicating without brains.

They don't believe they speak English do they?

back on track with satan, cthulhu, satanis, magick and chaos

Post by darrick »

hey cultists (and company) no i wouldn't share all my magickal secrets with my adversaries either. although, it would be nice to have a place where i could share them. hopefully, e-groups like these occasionally do the trick. it can't be substituted for in-person discussions, but it's better than nothing. i think people have to be on the same wavelength, as you mentioned.

a couple of my own thoughts... i think the idea of magick actually affecting change is sacred, but the freeing oneself from the constraints of reality is not. there is nothing sacred about escaping from prison; it is something that simply must be attempted over and over again. to me, magick has become an everyday commonplace thing. and that is preferable because using magick is like using a muscle, the more you excercise it, the better it works and the more powerful it gets. and you can't ever break out of prison if you don't try.

the magickian does have to alter their subconscious thoughts as well as their conscious ones. That takes a lot of effort, daily struggle with "the way things seem".

also, i think the defining of Satan is less fruitful than using the Satanic paradigm ( example of a world view ) to practice magick. personally, i think Satan is both matter and spirit, physical and idea, anti hero and villain. all gods are primal, Satan more than most perhaps. unfortunately (or fortunately) Satan has a certain persona that every tom, dick, and harry knows about. And Satan is influenced by ordinary retards just like Satan influences them. that is why i set myself up as the high priest for the Cult of Cthulhu. Cthulhu being very little known, yet still evil and kinda satanic - among many other things. and according to chaos magic, the gods one invokes doesn't need a millennia old pedigree or to have been actually worshiped in prehistoric times. the idea of the god inspires US individually to work the magick. The magick is in you, however a framework or structure is needed to support the reality we create for ourselves. gods and goddesses are the pillars of our "imaginary world". and just because it's imaginary doesn't mean it isn't real...
