Dan Forsman did not play at The Masters last week, instead, he spent all week watching Vijay Singh working his way towards TaylorMade Burner XD Irons a green Jacket and it inspired him enough to take the lead in the first round of the MCI Classic at Harbour Town on the first day.
Conditions were windy and cold at Harbour Town, but Forsman carded a 5-under par 66 to lead a familiar pack by one shot.

Ernie Els had an eagle and birdie through his first Taylormade Golf five holes, but couldn't gain any more shots to end with a 68.
Davis Love III, with four MCI Classic victories to his credit, was tied with Forsman on the 18th hole. However, he sailed his approach into the marsh bordering the green and took a TaylorMade Burner Rescue Hybrid double-bogey 6 to drop into a TaylorMade Tour Preferred Irons tie with Els. Things were just as unkind to others who fought for the green jacket a week ago. Tom Lehman took double bogey on his final hole for a 70. Loren Roberts and Carlos Franco shot 73s.
