What vile abominations transpire here?

Post by DM Garrett »

My name is David Maurice Garrett and I'm a newbie here. One of my many hobbies is short horror and weird tales. I've read many and written several. I also enjoy art from time to time.

My favorite authors are Lovecraft, Poe, Bierce, Blackwood, MR James, Le Fanu, Bradbury, Wellman, and, well, I could go on and on and on.

I recently finished reading The Antarktos Cycle. I had read At the Mountains of Madness and Arthur Gordon Pym before, but I've never read any of the other stories. I enjoyed The Tomb of the Old Ones by Colin Wilson but was disappointed by The Thing from Another World by John Campbell. The movie was much better than the story that inspired it, to me.

I've also recently discovered William F. Harvey but have only read two stories so far--August Heat and The Beast with Five Fingers. Both were great reads.

Anyway, I hope to enjoy browsing through the forbidden arcana of this cryptic sepulcher!
