This is not an easy decision. However, based on the impact "The Call of Cthulhu" has had on my writing, and that I can't stand to read "At The Mountains Of Madness" any more after doing a mammoth essay on it a while back, I'm going to have to go with "Call".

It's difficult enough that I haven't voted yet. I may be taking all 7 days.Jesus Prime wrote:This is not an easy decision. It's funny but when I was thinking about Moutains, I was especially remembering the end. You're right though, the buildup is excellent.E.A. Lovecraft wrote:Both are great stories, but I had to vote for Mountains on the merit of the first half of the story. The build-up is awesome.
But Cthulhu is still the better story; more concentrated and impressionistic.
