As Depp's "Sleepy Hollow", "From Hell" and "Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas" are on of my fav 10 movies I think the Pred wouldn't hold him a worthy adversary. The whole Carribean scene has been made so resistable to horror/scifi by The Secret Of The Monkey Island games (insanely great though) and comedy films like "50 First Dates" so on. I dont remember any good horror flick set in the Carribean. Hard to imagine anyone battling it out with the Pred under the palmtrees on a white sand beach 8)

Somewhere in the 1700 there are conflicts between native americans and european conqueros. Or aztecs vs spanish vs Pred? Aztecs have temples like in the AvP movie.
As much as I'd like to see it, I don't think a P3 set in the past would be very popular. There would have to be something more, a deeper revelation of predator society maybe.

I wish somebody would make Robert R McCammon's Night Boat into a movie. If I ever had the chance to helm a big-budget film, thought might be just the story I'd choose.
