Good, if you insist. I am Sicky666, Sicky Zero or Sicky_IA, I am a fiction and poet writer [http://www.geocities.com/sicky666_zero], I worship gods whom are called: Xada-Hgla, Byagoona, Shub-Niggurath, Kutulu, Cthugha, Dagon, etc, etc. Further then that I strongly dislike humanity, the ignorant, the foolish.

I'm basically a computer programmer that just started writing horror short stories one day for no particular reason. I'ld always been a Lovecraft fan but I didn't realize until the last couple of years that there were other writers that were also involved in the Cthulhu Mythos, (which explained a lot because I knew I had read all the Lovecraft stories but I still had no idea where Hastur had come from). Once I realized that there were a large number of Cthulhu writers and that there were still people writing mythos stories, I decided to try it too.
Actually, aside from the Cthulhu Mythos type horror, I've never really been a big horror fan. So, it is kind of surprising to me that I've found that I prefer to write in the horror genre. However, after considering that peculiarity, I've decided that this preference is likely due to the fact that I have a deep interest in the occult. All of the reading of occult literature that I've done over the years has helped to provide me with a good bit of material to work with.
My name is Daniel and i am 19 years of age.
I hail from the small town of warwick in QLD, Australia.

I am relatively new to H.P. Lovecraft even tho i have been reading and studying:
The Annotated H.P. Lovecraft by S.T. Joshi . Hopefully this is a good book :D
I have come here to talk to other fans of lovecraft and to speak with writers who use the mythos for thier tales. If thats the correct wording ?

I'm an 18 year old kid who enlisted (Marine Corps) but failed to graduate from Recruit Training. Now I'm attending college. I'm majoring in astronomy. I plan on double majoring in astronomy/physics (to help me towards my goal becoming an astrophysicist), or getting a degree in mathematics. I also plan on doing quite a bit of research into ancient religions on the side... assuming I ever get the time.
As for my time reading the works of Lovecraft... I'm not exactly sure how long I've been reading his works, but I know that I haven't read very many. Maybe ten or so short stories, and maybe around three or four of his longer works.
I workout and do martial arts (Capoeira/BJJ). I'm only 5'6" so I doubt I have any chance of ever becoming a professional fighter. Right now I'd be a "welterweight" if I was to compete in UFC. I can probably go up to "middleweight" weight though.
Other than that... I don't think there is much to say. Oh, I'm also interested in the "occult." I spend sometime studying (and sometimes practicing, heh) "magic."
Hello!
I'm also new here. I've just joined the forum a couple mminutes ago. I'm 35 and I'm from Poland. In everyday life I'm the teacher of English at the University of Economics. I started reading Lovecraftian stuff about 14 years ago. Except for Cthulhu Mythos I also like 19th and early 20th c. horror stories, and writers like Ligotti, Bentley Little, C.K.Kiernan, Phil Rickman etc.
I'm very interested in Scandinavia (culture, language etc), particularly Sweden.
I haven't written any Mythos story proper yet, but I've got some ideas and drafts - I try to find some new, interesting location - these will be, e.g. northern Scandinavia, Hungary and of course Poland!

Ha! Just tell me what is awkward about 69 I'd rather you called me just Irek. Jim sounds, hmmm..., so common, like some name of a black slave from the American South...
Jesus Prime wrote:Thanks for getting there before me, I wouldn't have been so tactful.
Heh, tact usually isn't my strong point. It just seemed to be the right approach for that one.
Ah. Well, at least you got the right approach. Those who know me usually agree that there's three ways to do things - the right way, the wrong way, and my way. Of course, my way is just the wrong way, but it takes longer to get there.
