It's insanely good, actually. I found a free version of it on the internet as a word document, I recommend searching for it. Some of the stories really rocked.

I'd say get a copy of "the starry wisdom - a tribute to HP Lovecraft"... its one of my favourite books of all time and I'm always going back to it. It's basically a collection of short stories inspired by the mythos. There is some truly progressive stuff in there, and the illustrations are just awesome. There's also a comic book translation of "the call of Cthulhu" which is worth the cover price alone.

There's also "Cthulhu 2000" which is greatly inferior to the above, but there are one or two interesting entries which make it worthwhile as long as you don't pay too much for it.

Out of all of the books inspired by Lovecraft,
I would have to say that Cthulhu 2000 is one of the worst...

True, there is some utter nonsense in that book, but the Poppy Z Brite entry is very well done, and I liked "the barrens" and "the big fish" as well. Like I said, it's an inferior book but there are a couple of interesting things in there.

"pickmans modem" & "the adder" are amongst the worst stories of any kind that I have ever read. To think that the authors make money off that trash is frightening.

Don't waste your money on any more stuff like that, when you have the Temple of Dagon to browse through.

Well, I only recently found the temple of Dagon, and I'm enjoying it a lot so far... "the starry wisdom" is always going to be down as one of my favourite texts of all time though... I don't think that I've ever been so impressed by a book other than HPL's origionals.
