I heard the track from Res Evil II OST. Pretty nice.

I have always thought Dani Filth was a knob. CoF is just daft imo, there are so many bands who do it far better.

Obviously the title of my thread would be indicative of that fact al

I found this on the site of a man who does the artwork for a band called Immortal, which, incidentally, as far as I can see, is nothing more than KISS on harder drugs, with battle axes and lack of sex...

I thought perhaps it could of just been an odd coincidence ;) But you do know how big of a fan I am.

Lagwolf, what other bands do you refer to ? :) I would be interested to hear.

They do have their good and bad points, but they remain my favorite band. I do listen to a wide variety of metal (not to mention other genres), including a lot of scandinavian, and norwegian metal. Some of my favorites are ones that include a more folk-sound in their metal like Korpiklaani.

They are almost comical I admit in many aspects, but they always openly admit it is simply a part of the act. They use their costumes and 'goth' (I hate that word) image because that is what they personally like. I think it is a lot more genuine then what a lot of bands do. There is a difference between trying to put off a certain image, and using a certain image to go along with your style of music. :)

Well I tend to prefer the more symphonic death metal ala Therion, Opeth and Anathema. Therion is probably my favourite of the genre. They are what Wagner would have been had been alive today. I am a big fan of dead ahead stuff...it just bores me. I am not a big fan of the high-pitched screech of Dani either.

Dani's voice is the main reason I hear from people (who generally like most metal) when explaining why they do not like them :)

Therion - now you are talking! ;) 'Secret of the Runes' especially has had its fair share of time flying through my speakers :)

You need to get Sirius B/Lemuria, Therion new one, its very good.

Opeth have gone the death metal to dark prog route. I personally recomend Decadence. Their last three albums have been freaking amazing. Therion and Opeth are really the music to write mythos to.
