And I don't hear good things about the "Dunwich Horror" adaption. Can't remember the name of it. There's A "Charles Dexter Ward" film, too, called "The Resurected".
"In the Mouth of Madness" was indeed John Carpenter, and it was part of his "End o' the World" trilogy (the other two films being "The Thing" and "Prince of Darkness"). Very very VERY good movie. Heh, I still remember when I first saw it (which was before I had ever read Lovecraft) and the whole time I was thinking "Man, I wish someone actually wrote books like that."
I didn't realize there WAS a film adaptation of "The Dunwich Horror". Sucks to hear that it was probably not very good though. The only actual Lovecraft adaptations I'm aware of are "Dagon" and, to a much lesser extent, "Necronomicon", which was horrible (I liked "Dagon" alright though).
Now a Lucio Fulci adaptaiton of a Lovecraft story would have been AWESOME. Sadly, it will never happen.
