Books bound in human skin

Would everybody stop talking about binding books in flesh?
Skin is what we're tallking about-think of a book bound in beefsteak, and you see the difference.
Accused witches are not funny, the witchcraft hysteria was one of the worst episodes in history, and should be taken as seriously as the Holocaust.
Because simililar things are still happening!

I love humor-but some things need to be taken seriously.
I've been appalled at the recent "Satanic Abuse" prosecutions, in which "recovered memories" were prominent.
Spectal evidence, anyone?
People went to jail.
We can laugh later, but history repeats itself.
Besides, the Society to Abolish the Worship of Rhan-Tegoth is not happy about the attitude so many people have that the supernatural is risable-it is not TC (thaumaturically correct).

i believe you can take things seriously and not seriously at the same time. it's just a matter of compartmentalizing your sensibilities.. otherwise, all the irony in life will poison instead of entertain you

I never said I found the witch trials funny, I said I wouldn't mind have those two books bound in the skin of a supposed witch.

They burned witches, they didn't skin them.
The Malleus was a very widely distibuted book in it's day, no real witchfinder could do without it.
Today, if you want to find a witch, try the personal ads-there are some real doozies there.

They also stoned and drowned witches, which would open the chance for skinning if the bodies were removed from the water as soon as possible. And I have copies of both the Malleus and Compedium Maleficarum.

They also pointed at witches and called them bad names before beating them about the shoulders with books bound in beef jerky. Those were dark days, indeed.
