Its all about atmosphere and in this game they got it down. I think im addicted to morphine and the voices are getting louder and ... less friendly. Dont buy this if your expecting a rpg you can run around forever in, just buy this expecting a good H.P.L adventure in a dark and well rendered world.
It is a lock and key, turn the valve, use the postcard game, As you will often fun into unopenable doors or fences that are open at one point and closed at others but if you follow along you get a really good spot in the show.
Also some situations play out differently as you do not always have the same side effect to the same horrors, although I've noticed Jack(who you play) is not to fond of high places, try shooting up and jumping across some rafters!

i bought it a few weeks ago, and i just beat it. i thought i was gonna be able to beat it within 3 days, but no! its been like 3 or 4 weeks, and i just beat it today. its atmosphere is really perfect, im still coming off of a Schitzofrinic attack, fearing what might come down and kill me, drawing an Elder Sign on my wall, constantly saying "Ia! Father Dagon! Ia! Mother Hydra! Ia! Cthulhu Fhtagn!". ohh, and it was hard! but theres one thing that you might get, the reason the guy has like 6 years of life missing and a yithian is seen in the begining of the game is because... ahh well, i guess you guys know now. but still, awesome, and i am contemplating weather to play it again on the next level of dificulty. i love it. i cant wait for a sequal

Need more REM on my PC before I can play the game properly so I've not even bought it yet... dug out Clive Barker's "undying" which I notice is heavily drawing on Lovecraft more than anything else CB has done.... I even noticed a very cthulhu-esqu octopus with 3 eyes in a stained glass in the ceiling in the manor...
