I am still thinking about implementing some sort of feedback system for the stories on the site. Right now I am trying to figure out which features would be best.
How about a simple system where viewers can leave comments on the authors individual page?
It could perhaps be done to each individual story page, but it would be a lot more involved, and having them on the authors page would be much more easily accessible - they could just mention the story they are talking about - or talk about the works in general.
Or would a 'hit counter' for the stories be better? I think comments would be more interesting, but someone had mentioned being able to get statistics.
Which sounds better?

Comments are more helpful, but most people won't take time to leave them. A hundred people may read your story and you wouldn't know it if they didn't bother to comment.
That's why I like the 1 to 10 scale idea. Its quick and easy enough that people might be willing to use it. Of course, this is just a wish - I certainly understand if it is too complicated to create.
