Anyone need a Gmail account?

Post by Aleister »

I am giving away 10 more Gmail invites to the first people who ask for one.

If you already have one, give others a chance :)

Most people (who want one) probably have one by now, but if not... here is your chance :)

Sure, if they're still up for grabs, I'll have one. What is it, something@templeofdagon.com?

No.. it us username@gmail.com

It is Google.com's email service. It gives you 2 gigs of storage, and is much better than yahoo, hotmail, or any of the other free emails services.

It is 100% free, but it is still invite only. If you have an account, you get invites occasionally, which you can give to others.

I actually use my Gmail account to do nightly automatic database backups for my web server. It emails them to my account so I can hold a ton of backups ;)

Someday I may give out templeofdagon.com accounts.. who knows. :)

I will let ya know, but I promise they will not be 2 gig accounts heh. Unless you want to help pay for server costs ;)

Now if anyone in the future ever wants to pay for a templeofdagon.com account, then I would certainly be immediately interested ;) Only for a very limited number of users though.

How much are we talking - many pennies or a few?

Tempting, very tempting. Now when you say infinite space' is that infinite storage for emails, or an infinite number of these accounts?

He uses the term "infinite" loosely :)

Nah, I really do not know how much I would charge. It would have to be a decent amount because I rarely give other people even simple email access to my server without a good reason :) Unless it was part of a contest type thing maybe, or some sort of "ToD Alumni" thing ;)

So if you use 1 million terabytes of bandwidth (as a hypothetical example), you don't think your host will be sending you a worried email? ;)

Smartass. Who would use that much? And in all honesty, no, hypothetically speaking, I doubt it

I'd find a way.
And why not give each of the featured authors and/or artists some form of e-mail account here?
