Starting in October, SOTA, a toy company known for some of the most inovative & original sculpting in the industry, will release three figures based on the artistic interpretations of creatures from three of Lovecraft's stories!
I could name them and tell you what they are from, but I thought it would be more fun to let you figure it out for your selves.
They're obveously not kiddy toys, and they are estimated to sell for around $18.00 a pop.
I personally plan to get two sets, and if the line does good, we may expect to see even more of Lovecraft's little critters in the future!
The reason I brought this up here is because the figure collecting comunity is mostly a big hype zone dedicated to whatever movies have the most pull, so unique items like this often miss the mark with that crowd, even though there are quite a few H.P. Lovecraft fans there.
I think it just misses it's target audiance.
I hope you folks can appreciate the how significant it is that Lovecraft's work has inspired a toy company to attept to give his visions 3D life nearly 3/4 of a century after his time!
This makes a pretty powerfull statement IMO.
