Hello, glad to be here. I 'm from Greece, and though I haven't read anything from H.P.L. for ages, in the (distant) past I 've bought and read passionately (translated) all of his books and still consider myself one of his big fans. From that distant past, a quote of his keeps turning round and round in my mind, I vaguely remember it, and goes something like ".
.. the insignificance and cheap emptiness of the small gods of the earth, with their wretch human interests,... their need to worship them and sacrifice to them, which is opposite to reason and nature".
I' m sorry for my poor english, and I clarify that the quote is translated from the greek text, as I remenber it, so the original maybe a lot different.
Can anyone pleeeeeeeeease help me find the exact text and the book from which it is taken?
Sorry to bother or trouble you.
