Whisperer in Darkness Film

Post by meenween »

Hey, wondering what you guys thought about the Whisperer film that the HPLS is making. Some of the frames from the film look pretty legit. Any thoughts?

Apparently, the lack of posts indicates you should leave.

Fascinating!

Im personally quite excited for their take on the classic talky. It does look like its being shot on HD (could be wrong?) and then switched to B&W grading, which is a little different from their last venture, but I think the style will work with the menace of the story's content, none-the-less.

it just seems odd that they would bother with HD when the project is so centered on the talky era. Especially when much of their reasoning behind the "mythos-vision" that promoted the Call of Cthulhu venture was so closely related to the silent era style. The jumps quite dramatic.

Agreed, though perhaps a different approach may do well

I hope so. It would certainly be nice to bring some high-definition to all those sharp, ominous shadows their presenting in the teaser. Should be a lot of fun.

soooo, bringing this back to subject, how does everybody feel about the progress of mythos-vision, as they say, regarding the period that lovecraft wrote his stories. where do you think they'll take it next, if anywhere?
