Okay, this isn't all that Lovecraftian but it is probably close enough
Pretty straightforward, the scarecrow becomes animated. If you need more background, ask me but there should be enough here to crit regardless. I don't want to call out any of my issues yet, let me hear your unbiased opinions first
For once the lighter background is actually favoring the piece but if you view it against a black background you'll catch more mistakes... Either way, I anxiously await your critiques
The only detail I can tell is the diferent size in hands, but it beign a scarecrow made of random branches, and maybe a little perspective it would explain it. And, pumpkins are not my thing.
Asymmetry in the branches was intentional, for the reasons you called out... I don't know if I'd say that pumpkins are my thing either but I definitely enjoyed the challenge of rendering a semi-opaque object lit from the inside
hey alex, i meant to comment sooner but lots of little projects are distracting me lately. i like the adjustments you made here. the main thing i was going to suggest is more black, especially in the bottom background. it would better define the scarecrow and complement the glowing pumpkin, which is well done although i think the glow through the skin could be of deeper hue, something in between the two versions here.
i'll contact you soon about that big project i mentioned before. keep up the good work
A monkey riding a dog is probably the awesomest thing that could ever happen.
