Another Bad Hat!

Post by krakenten »

Since we sometimes consider the works of other writers here, I'd like to propose a thread on the depraved sado-masochist and cannibal, William Seabrook.
Even Crowley thought he was a skank!
What do you good people know of him?

He was a part of the pre-war occult underground, a free lance journalist and writer, he specialized in Hatian Voudon.
His collection of stories, 'Magic Island', is interesting.
Some of them may even be true.

He was one of the foremost occultists of his time, and a free-lance journalist of some note.
Being a cannibal never seemed to do anything but enhance his reputation as a Bohemian and wierdo.
During the occult revival of the '60's and '70's saw many of his books back in print, which was where I encountered him.
C'mon, people, start digging, I've shown you the spot!
