Call for submissions: the Southern Literary Messenger

Post by Hodgson »

In a month, I'll be publishing the first issue of the Southern Literary Messenger, a revival of a magazine originally published 1834-1864.

It's a magazine of general interest, with articles on all subjects. I'm especially interested in getting book reviews, mainly of non-fiction, although reviews of fiction are also welcome.

The SLM is nothing specifically Lovecraft-related, but I'm willing to consider articles on subjects of interest here at ToD.

The web site should answer any questions you have, but if not, feel free to post a question here.

The first issue of the SLM is now online: www.southernliterarymessenger.com

Stop by and take a look. I'm still looking for more writers and the first issue may give you an idea of the range of articles I'm interested in. Personal experience, literary criticism, descriptions of architecture--if it's an interest that other people can understand, it's probably something I'd like to read about.

I hope you find something in the first issue that you enjoy.

it comes in HTML and PDF right now. i intend to write a book review for one of the upcoming issues. i don't think fiction is being accepted, at least not yet.
