This isn't the first time that Fortean Times has mentioned the old gent either...

A few years back (I believe it was 2002), both Fortean Times and FATE Magazine had articles about a strange undersea noise called the 'Bloop'. The location of the noise is close to the location of Lovecraft's sunken city, R'lyeh...

Here's a quote from CNN.com, "Scientists have revealed a mysterious recording that they say could be the sound of a giant beast lurking in the depths of the ocean."

For more 'Bloop' news and information, click here: http://www.bloopwatch.org/

Take care,

Craig

"It is not likely that any really finely wrought weird story - where so much depends upon mood, and on nuances of description - could be changed to a drama without irreparable cheapening and the loss of all that gave it power."

My website (Unfilmable.com) is second from the bottom...

Guess it's ok though. They did present me with their 'Web Award That Should Not Be'! :)

Actually, I used Bloop in one of the stories I wrote. It's in my story named The Temple.
