Very nice interview!

However, the idea you discussed about people believing the Necronomicon is real because they want it to be real is sort of scary. Why would anyone actually want anything from the Lovecraft stories to be real? That would be extremely nasty.

I can see someone really wishing that the stuff in Harry Potter books was real or even Anne Rice's Vampire books. They at least had some nice stuff about them. However, Lovecraft's monsters had a definite tendency to have no redeeming characteristics.

As with many things in the history of humanity, I think it is simply a matter of power. Being able to do such things as those who read the book in the stories do.

I was very happy he chose to take part in it. I had spoken to him in the past, and he is very nice, but understandably busy :)

He actually attented the film festival. Maybe some of the forum users talked with him.

I believe he is still selling some select books from his website. Signed, and inscribed if desired.
