I got a taste of The Statement of Randolph Carter. I'm very excited to see htis has to do with Chaparrel Heights. Only real thing I noticed was that when it started out it led me to believe me that it took place in the 70's or 60's, which isn't the case.

cool, i'll keep making progress. can you tell me why you thought it was a different decade? i didn't think there was any time-sensitive stuff until the song on the radio.. which i looked up as a top hit in december 1987 on 106.7 kroq (real station)

oh, i guess you mean the part where it says 'his own school days had transpired'.. that's talking about aaron, the teacher. this story is happening in 1987, at the end of the year when robert coyman had his journal experience. i'll think of better ways to distinguish the time
