I listened to an unabridged recording of Casino Royale (haven't found a copy yet) and loved it. I mean to go on soon to the other books, but for anyone who hasn't read James Bond stories, Casino Royale is the place to start.

Let me know what you think of it.

Also, I just finished The Demolished Man by Alfred Bester--interesting but a ridiculous ending. I'm rereading "Dreams in the Witch-House", and mean shortly to get back to The Aeneid.

Just finished "The Outsider" by Albert Camus, "A Doll's House" by Henrik Ibsen and "Waiting For Godot" by Samuel Beckett.

If you only ever read or see one play in your life, make it "Waiting For Godot".

The original "Dune" was okay, but I can't see the sequels managing to hold water.

The sequels are a bit more dry then the first one,
But still way better then most sci-fi that comes out today.

(Find the pun!)

it has some good bits, but i'd rather read one of his stories. this comes off a little like 'time for the old man to say what needs a-sayin'.. kinda self-indulgent. if you are interested in the guy's personal philosophy, i guess that would be the main reason to read it
