What do you do for a living? What have you done before? What would you like to do?

I work in the storeroom of a state facility for the mentally retarded. There are more than 150 residents. I also work half the week in the computer department.

I've also worked at:

McDonalds
Lee's Chicken
Winn Dixie
Burger King
an engine parts warehouse
Brand (chemical cleanup)
a Krogers Warehouse
a veterinary lab
a U.S. Postal facility (temp job)
and a wholesale printer,
besides a host of odd jobs.

I sell used houses, and work on publicity. Very boring stuff, heh.

I work in what you guys would call a 'department store'. Before that, I worked in a catalogue shop (best job ever!) and a bar.

i'm pissing away an early inheritance while dabbling in freelance graphic design, illustration and website construction. before that, i did graveyard-shift tech support for earthlink. before that, i worked in advertising for a couple of small newspapers.

(or maybe this is what the witness protection program trained me to say)

My brother's been buying and selling houses for a while now. I just helped him fix up a house to resell a few weeks ago. New carpet, laminate hardwood flooring, paint, landscaping, etc.

I don't like I'd like working in a bar. But why did you like the catalogue shop? (I'm not even sure I know what that is.)

And what do they call a department store in moon-bog country?

Like he said.

And catalogue shops (like Argos, or Index) are incredibly easy jobs. Just sit there and throw shit at a wall until the three customers a night show up.

I'll be damned. Brief, and yet lucid.

I knew a few guys once who had similar jobs. But they lived in a cage and probably had more than hair than you.

Wages usually suck.

I have worked the following jobs (in order)
  • local Chinese restaurant (busboy/dishwasher)
  • local steak house (busboy/dishwasher)
  • airport (washing planes)
  • Bakers Square (cook)
  • pet shop (fish guy)
  • Sound and Stagecraft (equipment testing and delivery)
  • North American Gear and Axel Corporation (drafting)
  • dorm cafeteria (various jobs)
  • United States Marine Corps (infantry/operations)
  • campus security
  • webmaster/online marketing/graphic design
  • Engrish teechur
Now that I think of it, wages always suck.

I'm seeing a sponge on a really long stick. What did you use, pressure washers?

It looks like you've done a little of everything. What finally drove you to Engrish?

Only two jobs. I was the coat boy at the Capital Grille, a really fancy resturant. and I wasa file clerk at a local doctors office for 2 years, I recently quit because I was tired of my boss fucking me in the ass every wednesday without taking me to dinner and movie first (aka I was tired of being under paid). But hey, I found some great names for stories, and saw some awesome, Ansel Adams quality, photographs of colons.
