Okay, a while ago, sometime after the WTC attacks, some guys made a game Using RPG maker that depicted the events of Columbine.

I guess you can say this is a review, sort of. maybee when Woddruff gets back, he can use it for the next issue of EG.

the game seems to follow a Pokemon game set of style, what with your Eric Harris and you wake up in your room one day, call your best friend to go on a shooting rampage, and set up bombs and attack a school. okay, so maybee no pokemon game is like that but some of us have dreams. anyway, the game shows the events that led up to the hour of the shootings, you collect items, and when you click on certain things, they give you flashbacks to things that happend in Eric Harrises life. now, its simple run into a student, combat begins, you shoot, they punch, and eventually they end up a splattered mess on the ground. the game even depicts the suicide of them. now, i know what your thinking: 'What the hell does this have to do with Lovecraft?' well, it doesnt have anything to do with him. after the suicide, it cuts to a montage of pictures of the attacks and of Eric Harris's life, and Keebold's life, ultimately leading up to their graves.

now you would think teh game ends here, but no, it doesnt. many people think that the game "DOOM" had alot to do with the shootings. so in the game, you pick up a copy of DOOM 2. after the suicide, something you wouldnt expect happens. you become Keebold, and you end up in hell, and insted of seeing the devil rip him apart, everything goes into a DOOM make over, your fighting through hell with just a pistol, theyre are things you need to open to get more weapons, theyre are demons from the game theyre, and theyre are several pentegrams for strange uses. i havent gotten past the first part in the Hell Level, but i plan to do so soon.

from what i understand, it's only tasteless at first glance.. there's supposed to be some social commentary in there

I see it as a satire of the idea that computer games make people go crazy. It's backwards - people going crazy make other people design video games!
