Hello I'm MysticalSoul 8) My Introduction Hmm...Well I come from a long line of Mystic's. But the real reason I'm here is few years back I had a vision/dream of running into an octopus with circled windows all around it's body, seeing electrical current flowing out of it. In this particular dream I was running from some odd demonic being and I ran into this octopus and it grabed this demon that was after me and told me that to save me I have to give into it in return. So I stuck my hand inside it's mouth and gave it something, which I'm not sure what, and I started to see visions of a tree, a building with magazines and a man writing something on a paper. Then I woke up feeling weak like I just went through trauma, then I just considered it as just a bad dream from some type of emotion maybe.
Then months later after getting curious about octopuses and the meaning behind them , thats when I found the story about Cthulhu and the mythologies behind it.I don't know everything about Cthulhu but I'm here to learn :)

well, cthulhu is usually associated with an octopus.. although i wouldn't say that's exactly what hp lovecraft (the writer) intended. the way cthulhu makes himself known to people may sometimes resemble an octopus, but the true nature of cthulhu and the other 'great old ones' is supposed to be beyond human understanding.

you should read some of the stories here at the temple.. go to the main page and look in the left column for 'recent stories,' 'featured writers,' 'selected tales,' etc. there are some very good ones in there

Lovecraft went more with the squid angle. He called him a "cuttlefish dragon" more than once.
