Alone in the Dark

I know of the game that it was by Lovecraft or inspired by him, whatever, but what about the movie?

The storyline of this movie is quite good, only they ruined it with their unrealistic American warlike scenes, had rather the feeling I was watching a videoclip at these scenes then a movie. Also the creatures reminded me alot about Alien. And the scene where they open the gate? To my opinion the creatures would have been escaped already in this period of time, also the creatures should have been waiting much closer to the portal than was the case. Really, by all this slowing down they would already have been butchered, but thats just my opinion. Let me know what you think of this movie.

YOU'RE NEVER ALONE! BE AWARE!

Christian Slater sunk to new lows playing there... As if Mind Hunters or whatever it was called wasn't enough.

Oh, this reminds me: all horror/scifi movies were pointless after Kurt Russell collaborated in Carpenter's "The Thing".

. . . but what about the movie?
The movie blows more pud than a two-dollar whore on pay day. The storyline sucks, the acting is consistently awful, the dialogue is moronic, and the editing appears to have been done by Helen Keller.

On a scale of one to ten, the movie defeats the scale and rates a flaming turd.

I put Aliens on even standing with The Thing, but only because Wilford Brimley annoys the hell outta me no matter what role he plays.

Why would someone create a movie as a joke? However, the storyline of the game seems totally different from the movie. Someone has a clue why it is like this?

Because the movie is a secret Nazi designed subconscious plot device by which they induced stupidity in the troops of the Allies but the director discovered it, used AITD trademark and made some easy money.

I don't know, ask Uwe Boll.
