Lovecraft in Cradle Of Filth

I was looking up the lyrics for "Mannequin" when I found this in the song:
Always poised on winter
But never would She break
My lovecraft and black witch heart
That pounded in Her wake
Anyway, CoF have a whole album that has Lovecraft in its title. Its eems to me that Lovecraft in literature equals best in music as black metal.

I am a huge Cradle of Filth fan. There is indeed numerous references in many many songs.
I don't know if you have ever seen my Cradle of Filth page, but it can be found here:

I pretty much avoided CoF because of their image: on every pic Dani was in a costume or whatever and I wasnt really drawn to listen to their music. Im more of a Audioslave, Mudvayne, Spineshank, Chimaira and Lamb Of God kind of man. But I thought to give em a shot and put "Damnation And A Day" album on a cd and I admit they took me a lot of time to get used to but now Im hooked. I especially enjoy the orchestral chorus and the song "Doberman Pharaoh". They are sort of inspiring too, in a literary way - the name alone Doberman Pharaoh flares up my imagination.
Anyway Ill take a look at your site

Their song "Cthulhu Dawn" from the Midian CD is great. The Cd has some good duets with the guy who played Pinhead in Hellraiser, too.

Wow, Excellent work with that Aleister, I've just become a CoF fan recently. My favorite is probably Iron Maiden though.

Have you heard Cradle of Filth's cover of 'Hallowed by thy name'? I am sure you would love it

Yeah, I have. It is truly great. A lot of bands cover songs but CoF added their own style and made it their own.
What other bands are you into?
My top 5
1.Iron Maiden
2.Iced Earth
3.Megadeth
4.Slayer
5.Queensryche

Replace Iced Earth with Faith No More and I'm the same.

They have a two CD album called 'Lovecraft & Witch Hearts'. It is mostly a compilation, but there were a few new tracks on it. Or at least versions.
A lot of their songs have Lovecraft influences in them.

On the subject of Iron Maiden (yes, I am glossing over the Cradel of Filth stuff), look at the gravestone in the background -
Oh me, oh my, that's big picture. But if I can stick it and I'm on 56K, fuck the rest of you.
