here's a neat trick for those of you who are easily bored. while looking at your computer monitor, produce a deep, constant hum in your throat, as low and bassy as you can. if you hit the right frequency, the screen should start to wobble like the surface of a liquid. i don't know if it works on all monitors.. i've only done it with this one (a crt)

Careful, because if you match a substance's natural resonance with a sound, it'll shatter. That's all I ever remembered from physics.
