The second annual Air Max Day celebrated the history of visible air by offering up a brand new model in the nike air max zero 2015, a model that was inspired from one of the initial sketches created by Tinker Hatfield during the creation of the Air Max 1 in 1987. The shoe manages to blend retro aesthetics with modern technology ranging from a bolstered mesh and fuse all the way to the original outsole of the initial Air Max. The shoe dropped in extremely limited numbers and now will expand to select retailers sooner than expected.
The mastermind behind the Swoosh’s storied Nike Air Max line, Tinker Hatfield has created yet another new Air Max model to add to the already impressive and iconic fold. Dubbed the nike air max zero, this particular silhouette served as the catalyst in bringing the Nike Air Max 1 to fruition some 29 years ago. The one before the 1, shades of white, rift blue, hyper jade, and midnight navy make up the revitalized runner’s palette while its lightweight upper sits atop a new Air Max 1 Ultra outsole.
Nike is prepped and ready to unleash their latest Air Max model into the world in celebration of Air Max Day 2015. The historically inspired nike air max zero womens, designed after an initial sketch of the Air Max 1 from 1987, features a blend of retro aesthetics with modern performance materials all in one stylish shell.

As part of the Air Max Day festivities, Nike has released the all-new Air Max Zero which was surprisingly the very first silhouette that legendary designer Tinker Hatfield had put on paper. At the time of its design, it was deemed too futuristic and way ahead of its time. Fast forward 30 years later and fans of the Air Max can finally get their hands on a pair. Inspired by the unique inside-out design of the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the nike air max zero mens blends a retro aesthetic with modern materials and construction methods to create a shoe bringing the concept of visible air to life. The sneaker features a fused monofilament yarn mesh upper with white synthetic overlays that reduces bulk without sacrificing support, sitting atop of the Phylon constructed Air Max 1 Ultra outsole.
