Anyone else gotten these? I got the first three and wow!! I think they are great. Especially because I am not able to go to the HPL Film Festivals, so I can see the feature and all of the shorts plus the extras. Well worth it. And no I dont work for them.

i've been disappointed by movies based on lovecraft stories before.. if these are truly a breed apart, i'll keep an eye out for them

I believe most of the films are from the Lovecraft Film Festival and not mass release poor adaptations.

If you want something Lovecraftian in film, I recommend you avoid anyhting that claims to be Lovecraftian. The film Pi, for example, has nothing to do with any of Lovecraft's work, but it has many elements of "Dreams In The Witch House" about it - the use of mathematics to control things, in the film's case, the stock market, and of course, people going insane. And a cult.

I loved Pi. I never thought about that movie in that way. Very interesting. The fibonacci stuff is some way cool shit!

By Lovecraftian, I mean that the Lurker Films stuff is adapted Lovecraft stories, not some other. Like last night I watched a b&w 1 hour version of Cool Air which I thought was really good. The other short I watched was like 14 minutes, and it was Nyarlathotep. I have tons more to see.

I always thought Nyarlathotep would work as a montage of silent scenes with the sotry narrated over it.
