As befits the library that contains the official H.P. Lovecraft archive, the library of Brown University in Providence also contains several tomes that are bound in human skin. Oddly enough, none of these works are actually part of the Lovecraft archive, (nor are they copies of the Necronomicon).

Here is a link to an article on the subject

(Admin edit: fixed the link so it would not stretch the page)

ahha! quick you guys, we need the Decayed Skin of a Drug addict, were gonna make the Necronomicon, and make it to where it looks so freakishly old and un testable, and we will donate it to the harvard library saying "It was a sort of Tome, Passed down in my family for generations.... it says that there were only 100 Arabic Translations of this book."

yeah, lets do it, THROW OUT YER DEAD!

Hell, I'm sure I could procure one within a month or two, if I tried. I've no connections, but it can't be that hard.

Or, I could get my copy of "The Ancient Track" recovered.

You know, if you think about it right, nobody even needs to be dead to make a book bound in human hide. Why, you could probably find one of those clinics where they do tummy-tucks, and ask for the leftovers. They have to pay to dispose of them normally as a biohazardous material, so they'd probably be more than happy to just give you a garbage can full of flabby, stretch-marked belly skin! What better for an ancient tome?

Hmm. It's even older, considering that most of it will be from 50-something revenants wanting to look 40 again.

Why? Why can't we write our own book, that will be less ridiculed?

Why not just leave the pages blank.. that way the would-be cultists can use it as a magick journal, and document their progress in insanity.
