The Public Archives Section, and some other topics

I just realized today that the Public Archives section was not working. It had to do with a setting in my Apache configuration file. It is fixed now.
As a side note, does anyone have any suggestions for getting this forum more active? I am not sure what else I can do at this point
Am I not keeping the site updated enough?
I was giving some thought to the way the Public Archives section is laid out. I like the functionality of it, but there are a few things it is lacking. I was considering finding an alternative script (or writing one) which could then be used for the featured writers section as well. Everything would run off the same database, but the 'featured' writers and stories would still exist. This would allow even featured writers to easily post new stories, as well as making it easier to manage it all. Any thoughts?
