Want to give me your thoughts on another one of my sites?

I started work on this site a little under a month ago. I originally wanted something simple to help me keep track of my books, but I have expanded it past that.

The site is called BookVault, and it allows anyone to create an account and keep an online book collection for reference, or for others to check out. It supports sub-cateogories, and several other features.

If anyone is interested, please take a look and give me your thoughts. I am currently trying to think of other useful features for it.

I only have a few books up there right now.. I am still making adjustments before I add more.

Maybe people will use it.. maybe they will not.. but I had fun making it. :)

Are you supposed to upload E-Books onto it?

No. Maybe I need to re-write the description on the site ;)

Ya type in your book's ISBN, and if it is in the dbase, it will show other people your book colleciton. it works.

Do I HAVE to use the ISBN? Most of my books are spread across the country after being lent out to people...

Currently yes, you have to use the ISBN. This is because my database only stores the ISBN's and titles locally (as well as the sub-collection data). That way the information is always accurate, since it is being pulled from the big database I am using.

If you are unsure of an ISBN, you can always use the search feature and get the ISBN that way. :)

Ok, so basically its just a way to show off what great taste you have in books.

Well, I'm joining. Figure it can't kill me, so there's no reason not to.

Dude, it's not working. I entered all the books I had sitting around my computer (amounting to eight, because I'm too lazy to go upstairs to my bookcase) and NONE of them were recognised. Do I type in the hyphens in the ISB number?

Hm.. it seems to be working fine for me.. I just tried to add another.

Hyphens should not matter.. it will ignore them. I just tested that as well.

What exactly is it saying? Book not found in DB? It should give you an error.

It does, it says that none of them were found in the database. I'll try it again, though.

It's not recognising the pride and joy of my collection - a six book hard-back boxed set of Dr. Seuss' finest work. That's -
"Fox in Socks"
"Green Eggs and Ham"
"The Cat in the Hat"
"The Cat in the Hat Comes Back"
"Hop on Pop"
"Dr. Seuss' ABC"

I also have "There's a Wocket in My Pocket" separately. I need to buy "On Beyond Zebra".

EDIT: I must note that for every book of mine it does recognise, there's one it doesn't. Most of my Pratchett collection's not in the database.
