This Golf Club would be better value!

Having played in the Huelva region of Spain for our regular October break for the past few years, we opted this time for something completely different - and we got it in Marrakech!
We hoped it would be better value for money due to the exchange rateMizuno MX-1000 Irons
– but it wasn’t! However, I found hiring a local caddie for the first time in my life proved extremely good value - and often costing less than a round of drinks.
We received a friendly welcome at the Royal Golf Club – an old course about 15 minutes from our hotel - but were somewhat dismayed by the poor quality of the greens with bobbly surfaces and many unrepaired pitchmarks. Mizuno MP-58 Irons
It was an enjoyable tree-lined layout with narrow fairways and we managed to score 46 betterball points (off full handicaps!) to win the Mixed category.
Palmeraie Golf Club, the next course on the itinerary, is a more modern facility Mizuno MP-68 Irons
about 15 minutes from our hotel but a sudden deluge and misunderstandings about the rules regarding preferred lies, gimme putts and ground under repair, disrupted the round and forced the organisers to abandon the scores.

It made it an almost obligatory three shotter. I scored 28 points and wasn’t happy with my golf, while Caroline managed a respectable 32.
