I JUST LOST IT!

I was reading the newspaper about 20 mins ago. What I read made my blood boil (as I rarely read anything negative in the paper)..I have to post this or someone is going to die
Quoted from the Associated Press:

"Outside the hospice where Schiavo is being cared for, about a half-dozen people in wheelchairs got out of them and lay in the driveway, screaming 'We're not dead yet!"

*sigh* (here comes the shitstorm)

I'll put it as brutally tack-free and politically misnomered as I fucking can:

"Are you the woman in the bed? Are you her husband? Are you her biological relative? Do you know these people at all? Did you ever know the woman known as Terri Schiavo existed before you got your Newsweek from the local mental health clinic lobby table? Have you ever cared for, been around, or watched someone cared for who is a FUCKING TURNIP? DO YOU KNOW IT IS CONSIDERED ONE OF THE MOST PHYSICALLY AND EMOTIONALLY DAMAGING JOBS ON THIS PLANET?"

I do, because I have seen it, done it, and been around it several times in my life and my mother worked as a nurse on a cancer ward for sixteen fucking years. It is not a picnic! You go through what a dying man with cancer does, the 4 stages of grief, but internally for an external source, one that hasn't DIED yet. In a way, when someone dies slowly and drawn out, you die alongside them.

People have this insane NEED to assimilate someone else's issue. They have to have some CAUSE to stand out on the lawn in their L.L. Bean underwear and scream about the injustices against a person who has been living in a building they pass on the way to the whorehouse 3 blocks away, totally unaware of the life in that bed until it comes on FOX NEWS (a whole different can of stupidfuck). Goddamn people, you need to go back to work, stop wasting what little time (life is so very short people) you have left in your skin, and make a difference in your own circle of influence. Stop screaming "save the whales" and ACTUALLY SAVE'EM!

I am convinced that nothing in recent memory has made me more upset than this circus of human condition for which the clowns all have a camera pointed at their male-pattern baldness, and the trapeze is connected to idiocy on a mass scale. People, for the love of christ's NADSACK, it is one thing to speak out when something doesn't jive with you, but quite another to lay down on the fucking street expecting meaningful and instant change to occur. This is not a political issue, this is a bunch of people who missed their appointment at the unemployment office and are spending their afternoon in a "sudden cause". it is like if gawking was the same thing as christianity!

None of you are making a bit of difference, and in twelve years (most likely 1 or less even) the national consciousness will revert to arabs, oil, mad cow disease (rosie odonel), stock market insanity, and most of all, whose fucking who!

This woman is going to die sooner or later, and keeping her gerber stew crammed down her now onion-peel like gullet is not doing anything but prolonging the inevitable. Sanctity of life? Generally, I suspect that the term applies to heads of state, the pope who can't speak but can signal with his bird to all the naysayers, or to people who have life ahead of them. Not this poor, pitiful human being who, if allowed to remain breathing and eating, will only be able to say "kazaa" for the rest of her days. It may sound as if I am being insensitive to the plight of this poor soul, but I have to be brutally honest, for which I am known and often times despised for:

"This shit happens every fucking day. It is happening to your granny on Bunyan Road in Melanoma Texas. It is happening as I write this, somewhere, and there is nothing being DONE about that. People die every few seconds or so, its a statistic. People die needless, horrible, slow, agonizing, shit-covered deaths at every blink of your eyes, and they never get the front page of Newsweek. How's that for fair and balanced."

Basically, this entire tragic slice of American Pie (mold is rampant on my slice) is driving me to drink. I am incensed because people who just a few years back were acquitted for raping a dog, but they and everyone in their lives KNOW they did it, are walking through walmart, see the article about this woman's ordeal, and suddenly everyone's a god damn activist on right to life. People are selfish, cruel and about as stupid as you can get when something enters their radar that was previously unknown to them. Seriously, how many people can you count on your hand know about your crabs? If they suddenly knew about them, use math to tell me what the probability would be that more than 3/4 of them would have SOMETHING to say, something they think actually matters 2 nads in the big picture, and that they could "save you from yourself" or whatever else the stupid fucks can assimilate into their lives. I assume people do this to keep themselves in denial that they are utterly, hopelessly useless to society. So what you work at the local car dealer, are you helping fix the issues plaguing automobiles? No. Are you donating money from your xmas bonus to help feed starving people DOWN THE STREET? No. you eat your chicken dinner from KFC and only start bitching about things when your gas prices make it utterly IMPOSSIBLE for you to get down to that hospice where that poor tortured woman is being "starved to death." i'll say it more blunt than most wanna hear it:

"The woman died years ago. Brain damage is permanent. The brain is the only part of the human body that possesses cells which do NOT regenerate. Miracle be damned, that woman is DOOMED. Deal with it, stop lying to yourselves, and stop suddenly caring at newsbreak at noon.

Start caring now. Take care of your kids. Feed a homeless man. Water a stray plant. Bathe a stray cat. DO SOMETHING INSTEAD OF SCREAMING ABOUT STUFF YOU CANNOT CHANGE NOR CARE ABOUT UNLESS SOMEONE SAYS IT ON TELEVISION, you worthless piles of festering fecal matter!

Fuck you and your grandstanding. Fuck you for making the suffering of one woman and those that love her into your moral goddamn crusade. Most of all, fuck you for your hypocrisy. No, I take that back, just fuck you.

(and before anyone tries to grow a brain, i am aware that my ranting has absolutely no effect on society whatsoever, and that years from now it will be a dusty memory in my head alone. But I feel better, and someone who deserves it is really unhappy. I am vindicated)

Actually, I felt it was rather horrible that these activists were doing all of this crap outside of a hospice. There are probably quite a few terminally ill people in the hospice. Both them and their loved ones would probably like to deal with their own grief issues in peace and quiet.

There should be a law against protests in front of a place like a hospice. These 'pro-lifers' are really sick morons.

Congress has made it illegal to protest outside of churches, but these jerk-offs are perfectly free to go scream and chant outside of a home for the terminally ill. Its sad and insane.

Also, I would really like to know how many of these 'pro-lifers' would be out there protesting if Terri Schiavo was a gay guy who was in a vegetative state due to complications from AIDS. I bet their 'pro-life' fervor would be much less intense.

Well said.

My favorite comedian, who is now deceased (bill hicks) used the following routine in his standup: "Irony: Pro-Lifers murdering abortion doctors" "we're pro-life and we'll kill your ass!"
