Does anyone else here have this volume? What did you think?
Certain passages disturbed me, mainly because I am not a denizen of early 20th century New England.

i have it and, whil ei enjoyed much of it and found it to be interesting in a historical content, it reaffirms my beliefe that lovecraft simply wasn't very good at poetry.

What I have is The Fungi from Yuggoth. An old paperback from the 60s with the Ancient Track in it. A seares of poems that make up a whole story, I think. I do not know much about poetry myself, but, I liked them and, as an added bonus, its illastrated by Frank Utpatel.

Are you talking about the huge book of poetry that could kill someone if wielded right?
Because there's too much blank verse in it, I hate unrhymed poetry.

It's why I love the works of Theodore Giesel so much.

Free verse is okay, provided there's a rhyme in it, I can handle the uneven cadence. But it's got to rhyme. That's why I write sonnets, or in couplets.
