"Saw" A review by me

I went to see SAW tonight. In fact my post before this one was my first time sitting down in my throne
I do not care what anyone says about this film negatively, it OWNS. I sat there, having the demonic glee of knowing that I was, most likely, the only person in the ENTIRE threatre room (not a seat was empty btw), that had already seen the film, 2 weeks before it was actually out in theatres (you figure that out on your own hehehehehehe BWAAAHAHAHAH) so I knew what was gonna happen already.
I sat there, listening to the clusterfuck of boobs behind me, and I was having a great time, especially when certain elements of the film made people jump. I would laough aloud each time, and they would look at me, and it was lovely.
Overall, the movie was well done in my opinion. The twists and turns in your average, run of the mill horror/psychological thriller that Hollywood throws at us would make most movies like this one suck big goat testicles.
Not so in SAW, a movie that will push your ideas of what is allowed in an R-Rated film to the utmost limits of human decency. One of the main characters, played by that guy from Princess Bride, is the last person you'd expect to see in such a role. He was very good too.
The acting of they other guy in the room this movie mostly takes place in was at times witty, but his overall performance was lame as fuck. I laughed my ass off at one seriously fucked up moment near the end of the film, when, after Carry Elwes's character did something...drastic to his body, where normally his behavior with such a large amount of blood loss wiould be chilling and a little sickening, nearly everyone around me was snickering at the scene and his tone of voice. It was scarier at how people reacted than the imagery onscreen!
The ending to this film will make you shit your pants, thats about it on that part of this post...
As for the previews before the film, I got the shit scared out of me and that is rare. There was a movie preview for something from Rob Zombie, and the people it showed, well, imagine that film Deliverance, with Dwarves from LOTR, and REALLY bad teeth, shotguns, and people dying a mile a minute. HORROR!
Saw, Directed by James Wan
deca's rating: +8
