The Temple of Dagon

I'm curious about The King in Yellow by Chambers since I've heard that Lovecraft borrowed some of his mythos from that book. I've seen a number of bad reviews though, especially of Chambers as a writer. The King in Yellow seems to be the only book of his that anyone liked. Anyway, I'm wondering what you guys, as HPL fans, think of this book. Worth it for me to read?
