Hey guys. I'm a huge fan of Lovecraft and recently drew a sketch card illustration of a Lovecraftian creature. I hope you guys dig it.

Sketch cards are illustrations done on baseball card-sized blank cards. I've been selling them for a few months now. I drew this one for myself since most people aren't into scary monster art.

that's a good idea, sketch cards. low-cost original artwork for the masses. do people request what they want or pick from your collection?

I get commission requests and I also sell my original sketch cards. No one would commission the stuff I like to draw, like monsters and stuff, so I'm trying to sell the Lovecraft card on eBay.

That's a really good representation of a Lovecraftian monster hiding in human form. What's the tentacled creature in front, though?

Actually, I really like the card. That monster is probably one of the better representation of a Mythos creatrue that I've seen; it isn't just another mutated ocopus. It actually looks like it comes from Beyond.

That said, I'm an odd old misanthrope who only likes pictures of humans if they being devoured, but I don't think many others would share that opinion.

I'd do more of these but the people I sell to only want to see the obvious; drawings of curvy women in various positions of undress. I'm planning on doing a bigger Lovecraft drawing of a creature in deep space that dwarfs the Earth.

that's where you're wrong.

again, wrong!

there's a definite market for this stuff... a growing subculture of misanthropic, monster-loving alienists. thousands of such people... if only we could all band together somehow! (that's what the Cult of Cthulhu is all about, actually).

great sketch. just curious, do you paint as well? i'd love to see larger versions of the above drawing. and framed! personally, i could use dozens of such b/w and greyscale art for a couple upcoming projects. email me if your interested.
