A new Place to Play?

Recently, I realized that the usual New England locales of mythos tales was getting stale.
Where to go?
York County, Pennsylvania!
A friend of mine wants to write a rock opera based on the 1928 Hex Murder, and asked me to do some research for him.
Hex signs, magic books. Pow Wow doctors, charms, cantrips and magic seals, all real, all occuring in a sparsely populated, rural area in the current age!
I grew up around it, and really paid little mind, until this.
The city of York is a dark and violent place, the county mired in backward ways, the people full of anger over the wave of new residents coming from Baltimore, DC and even Philadelphia.
Dust off your spell books!

Well I use the West Coast of Wales mostly so that is a bit afar from New England.

This looks like a whole new occult tradition to exploit.
But Wales is lonely, rugged and kinda Celtic, so it's certainly a good spot.
It is known that the Great Old Ones never manifest within a mile of a Wal-Mart.
They own stock.

The lonely hills of eastern Washington state complete with howling winds. We even have a substantial river to use as a lair for deep ones. There are also old mines, deserted farm buildings and a replica of stonehenge not to far away.

The Washington forest is spooky as Hell, too.
I briefly lived in Seattle, and saw those forests-no wonder there are legends of the Bigfoot!
That place does not welcome man.

I've always wanted to camp there
