Hey everyone! I haven't posted here for a while, life has kept me busy with much unpleasant business, but I am adjusting to a new situation and have lots of back posting to make up for! Here's my latest mythos piece, this is Cthulhu of course. The actual size of this painting is quite small, just 2.5 x 3.5 inches, the same size as a trading card.
"Dreaming No More";
Comments and critiques are welcome!

That's cool, I like proportions you used and the sort of expressionist vibe.

That's pretty amazing. I like your interpretation, its like a mix of Cthulhu and an elephant.

It's great. And I also like the other works you have posted on your site. My favorites are Agent of Hastur, the Caterpillar work-in-progress, Open Invitation and Hanging Gardens.
And the
Cheshire cat. Gah!!

Very good works, especially the fact that it's such a detailed piece for such a small canvas... I also love the "White Rabbit" and "Madder than a march Hare" and the various works with doors in odd places, (I have done a few that are similar, although I like doors that are round, think "Hobbitish").

First of all, form the hobbit doors from LOTR the nob is in the middle, which meens the latch would be quiet long. This meens the door would be easier to knock down, and would cost significantly more...
Second of all, with only one hinge to support the weight of the door, would require a huge ass hinge and constant matinence...
Third of all....who wants a round door...seriously

1) they probably swing out, so easier to knock down probably isn't such an issue.
2) maintenance and hinge size wouldn't be so bad if the door is properly counter-balanced
3) hobbits, duh!
