That's true. There are other massacres that are glossed over. And it doesn't require a love of the RCC to remember that the Greeks, Cypriots and Armenians were murdered by the Turks/Ottomans. That worked very well, and secured Spain for the Church, later, Latin America was similarly scoured of native beliefs.
