I've heard of that Hound story for quite a while. Thought it was some sort of literature, like Faust, or something. Didn't know it was mythos.

The Hounds of Tindalos are pretty badass. I once saw a pic of them saying "In yer curves comin from yer angles"

yeah, what the hell? Everybody knows FBL wrote mythos stories! He's my favorite writer all of time! He upstaged Lovecraft in every way possible, i mean, if you think Yog-Sothoth, Azathoth, or Nyarlathotep are hard to comprehend... ever heard of the Space Eaters? That's literally what they do. They eat dimensions. I'm not joking. They are so far out there that even Chaosium can't fiqure out how to make stats for them!

Hounds of the tindalos are also the best. The ending to that story isn't as good as his others, but just by being "okay FBL" it's already several thousand times better than HPL.

Here's a hint: FBL's protagonists aren't stupid or superstitious. They wouldn't make the mistake of calling Cthulhu a "god."

So, everything FBL wrote, plus:
Hastur
Shub-Niggurath & Dark Young
Ghatanothoa
Cyaegha
Dholes
Tru'nembra
Shoggoths

are at the top of the list, but it's damn hard to play favorites when every single mythos monsters is so god damn inventive! That said, I think Ithaqua, while hailing from some awesome stories, is probably the most boring monster i've ever heard of, Mythos or otherwise.
