Godzilla ;)

Actually it would be fun to see Godzilla battle it out with Cthulhu.

I say Cthulhu would win. Being able to reknit his wounds, and all, would help.

Wait - if Cthulhu's a male, and Cthylla's a female - can the Great Old Ones mate?

i might like Cradle of Filth if it weren't for the vocals. i listen to Opeth every once in a while, but only because that dude can sing when he wants to.

top five:

Faith No More
Pink Floyd
Mushroomhead
The Fading Collection
Judas Priest

I don't mean any harm, but the person responsible for the name, "Cradle of Filth" should be nailed to a burning shithouse.
That's simply vile!

Not a metal fan then? You should try listening to death metal : Rotting Christ, Dying Fetus, Amoeibic Dysentry, Septic Flesh, Cephalic Carnage and Cattle Decapitation to name a few. And let's not forget the Cannibal Corpse song 'Entrails Ripped From a Virgin's C*nt' ...genius.

I've seen the things these wankers dream about.
It isn't funny, it isn't cute, it isn't cool.
I stood it, now I don't have to, not any more.
Dream on, just leave me out of it, ok?

Do what you want, but that's where I stand.
Blood and guts are not all that funny, once you see them for real, and hear the widows and orphans cry, see the cripples trying to adjust.

it's not the idea of carnage and suffering that's funny, it's the fact that these bands are built on the same mind-games i used to play with my elementary school friends.. what's the grossest thing you can think of, what's the worst way to die, what's the best kind of bug to chase the girls with.. some of these musicians are 40+ years old!

surely even you can muster a chuckle for that

Oh, I can smile and chuckle a lot at them, even find GWAR mildly amusing.
But even to me, a lifelong horror fan, a lover of the grotesque and outre, there comes a time when I ask myself if I must be subject to this childishness.
Nope.
I'm getting old.
