In my experience selling merchandise isn't good for bringing people, so much as bringing people is needed for selling merchandise! This site seems to have one of the most important things for getting a forum going though, and that is active particiapants! Nobody will bother hanging around a dead forum where nobody posts. When they log on and see new threads being posted they will stick around and join in.
As for a logo, I'd be happy to come up with some artwork if someone can take it to a desktop publisher and add text. I haven't done much of that sort of thing in a couple of years and don't even have any software loaded on my PC since the last time it crashed.

Well, I'm trying to get us more posters, but even if I can't, I'm notorious for posting on dead boards.

hrmm.. well,w hy dont you try that? it should eb something gothic looking, but Cool, having lots of Occult symbols in or behind it, and should have all of the sort of cool looking Drawings or art of the bets known Mythos gods, Lovecraft in the middle, then around the sides it should have Yog-Sothoth, Dagon, Cthulhu, and more, could you try that? ohh,and underneath them it should say "Temple Of Dagon"

I was thinking, quite simply, a sort of weathered stone cartouche, with the old Dagon fish-man glyph, and the words 'Temple of Dagon' etched into it. Simple, effective.

simple, yes, effective...no. we need something Exotic like what i suggested, gotta make it look like the logo of www.Churchofsatan.com, that one looks awesome, with Lovecraft in the middle, Chthulhu to the right, Yog-Sothoth to the left, Dagon to the Right, and The Deep One to the lest, and so on and so on, then the Logo written in Beautiful Letters saying "Temple Of Dagon" under them.

Some pictures of hot naked chicks ought to do the trick. But I think I've said that before.

Well that's a very interesting splash page, but a logo really ought to be simple so that it can be more versatile. I was thinking about a stylized ink drawing of Dagon, possibly with some cyclopean stonework elements to it.
